Paul Heyman and Adam Pearce were supposed to face off against each other during tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown, but a freak “injury” from Heyman forced him out, and allowed Roman Reigns to take the ring. However, a surprise appearance from Kevin Owens saved the day, as Owens protected Pearce from an assault and also delivered a huge message to Reigns.

Things started when Heyman made his way down to the ring and seemingly got injured while tripping along the side of the ring. Heyman tried to brush it off but got “hurt” once again, and this time told Pearce that the subject would have to change. It was then that Reigns’ music hit, and the Tribal Chief made his way down to the ring before promptly landing a huge Superman Punch on Pearce.
Although Pearce attempted to fight back, Reigns was no match for him, and the superstar began to drag Pearce up the ramp and attempted to bring him behind the ThunderDome video board. However, it was then that Owens showed up, hidden in a hoodie so as to not get caught by WWE security.

Owens shocked Reigns with some quick attacks, before tossing him into the ring and landed a big Stunner. As the referees tried to get things under control, Owens continued his assault on Reigns, tossing him out of the ring before landing another Stunner on him. Owens ended the night by lifting up Reigns and slamming him through the commentary table, sending a huge message to Reigns ahead of their match at Royal Rumble.
