Kiera Hogan: Jordynne Grace Brings Out The Best In Me, A Rematch Is ‘Long Overdue’

Kiera Hogan is going after tag team gold this weekend at Hard To Kill but she still has a rematch with Jordynne Grace on her mind.

Hogan recently spoke with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard ahead of Saturday’s IMPACT Hard To Kill pay-per-view. Hogan and Tasha Steelz will be facing Havok and Nevaeh for the Knockouts Tag Team Championship, but Hogan says she’s still eyeing a big match in the singles division. When asked if there’s a certain match she’d pick to highlight who she is as a performer, Hogan said she’d instead choose a specific opponent in Jordynne Grace. Hogan says they have worked together in the past, and Grace is someone that brings the best out in her as a performer.

“Jordynne Grace is at the top of that list. She brings the absolute best out in me and she pushes me to my absolute limit, which is why I said that I would have been so excited to have a match with her and Jazz [in the Knockouts Tag Team Championship tournament] because I know Jordynne can go and she can push me to my limits. I know I can go there with Jordynne,” Hogan said, “and I remember we had a feud after the Undead Realm, and we had maybe 3-4 matches back-to-back and I think each one of those matches individually was great. She brought the best out of me, absolutely. She is one of those people that has so many ideas and is working so many different styles, so I’d love to wrestle Jordynne again. Honestly, I was hoping that she’d still be the Knockouts Champion because I wanted to wrestle her as Knockouts Champion. I feel like it should have been done, but I would love to get in the ring with Jordynne again. It’s long overdue.”

When asked about the potential to have that champion versus championship match if she’s victorious on Saturday, Hogan agreed that current Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo is also high on her list of future opponents.

“That has been at the top of my list, in the back of my mind since these Knockouts Tag Team titles were even brought up. You know, there’s only one person in Knockouts history that has done it—there’s only one—and I would love to be the other one. I would love to be in that position and I think that would be great. I feel like out of everybody, I am the underdog and I’m the one that nobody expects to do much. I know my quality and I know my potential, but nobody has actually seen what I can do because nobody has really given me the chance. This year is my chance to prove to myself, prove to everybody, prove to IMPACT that I can literally go with anybody. I can roll with the big dogs and I’m a main event player, and definitely, that Knockouts Championship is in my view.”

IMPACT Hard To Kill takes place on pay-per-view on Saturday, January 16; check out our full interview with Kiera Hogan at the top of this post.
