Kevin Sullivan is a big fan of Damian Priest and believes the Judgment Day member is “underrated.”
Speaking on a recent edition of his “Tuesday With The Taskmaster” podcast, Sullivan opined on his belief that Priest, who will be putting the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships alongside Finn Balor on the line at WrestleMania 40, is underrated. He said,
“I think Damian Priest is underrated. He was a big heavy fat kid when he started [in professional wrestling]. I give him a lot of credit.”
Prior to the Judgment Day member joining WWE, Priest and Sullivan worked together in Ring of Honor back in 2016. At the time, Priest was known as Punisher Martinez and was aligned with Sullivan and BJ Whitmer.
Natalya and Charlotte Flair faced off against each other back in 2014 in a match to crown the second-ever WWE NXT Women’s Champion. Both women were part of an eight-woman tournament to crown a new champion after Paige (Saraya in AEW) vacated the title after being called up to the main roster.
Speaking on a recent edition of WWE’s “The Bump,” the Queen of Hart’s commented on her reaction to being asked by Triple H to be a part of the tournament. She said,
“When Triple H asked me to be a part of that [finals] match, I jumped at the opportunity to work with Charlotte Flair because we do have a lot in common in the sense that we both have big boots to fill. And a lot of people don’t know, but before Charlotte was Charlotte and she was just a young, up-and-coming talent, she and I had a conversation where she kind of broke down and said to me, ‘I don’t know if I’m good enough. I don’t know if I could ever be as good as my dad. I don’t know if I can ever fill everybody’s expectations of what they have for me.’”
She continued, “This is way before she ever became a superstar in WWE, but she was just getting started at NXT, I remember saying, ‘I’ve been through all those things and I’ve had that feeling before of not being enough. We have to blaze our own trail here as women.’”

Sullivan’s comments about Priest being underrated highlight the potential and abilities that Priest possesses, which may not be fully recognized by the wrestling community.
Meanwhile, in another wrestling-related news, Natalya and Charlotte Flair faced off against each other in 2014 to determine the second-ever WWE NXT Women’s Champion. The match was part of an eight-woman tournament held after Paige vacated the title upon her promotion to the main roster.
During a recent episode of WWE’s “The Bump,” Natalya shared her reaction to being asked by Triple H to participate in the tournament. She expressed her excitement about working with Charlotte Flair, as they both understood the pressure of living up to their respective family legacies. Natalya revealed that before Flair became a WWE superstar, they had a conversation where Flair expressed doubts about her abilities and filling her father’s shoes.
Natalya, drawing from her own experiences, reassured Flair that they had to forge their own paths as women in the wrestling industry. This heartwarming anecdote showcases the support and camaraderie among female wrestlers, even during their early stages of career development.
