During a recent chat with Sports Illustrated, WWE superstar Kevin Owens has shed light on why he frequently cuts promos from his car.
Owens, also known as “KO”, has credited his noisy household comprising five dogs, six cats, and two children for his unique choice of location to deliver his promos. The former Universal Champion has often been found cutting promos from the quiet confines of his car, a method he now uses even more due to some unexpected reactions.
Highlighted below are some notable points from Kevin Owens’ chat with Sports Illustrated:
Discussing the real reason behind the car promos, Owens said: “The house doesn’t work for me. I live with five dogs, six cats, and two children. There is a lot of noise there. So I opt for my car. Much to my surprise, this has irked some people. Initially, it was for convenience. But now, because it seems to upset some, I do it from the car more often, almost out of spite.”
Addressing the issue of not using his house for promos, Owens stated: “I don’t have a specific room or office dedicated to my wrestling career, replete with frames and title belts on display. I’m not that obsessive. In fact, there are no items relating to me in my house, except those that my wife insists on. Although I don’t prefer having picture frames and other memorabilia, I have let them be for her sake. I don’t have this personal shrine in my house that can feature as a background. So, I have resorted to my car. This is my thing.”
