Kevin Owens recently shared his enthusiasm for the Motor City Machine Guns joining WWE. Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin became part of the company in October and quickly nabbed the WWE Tag Team Championships.
In a recent chat with “Yahoo! Sports,” ahead of Saturday Night’s Main Event, Owens disclosed his views on the Motor City Machine Guns’ induction into WWE.
Owens revealed, “I’m not surprised at any of the guys’ achievements,” “It was truly surreal to see the Machine Guns link up with WWE. It felt like we all made it. Many of us made it to the mainstream wrestling platform around the same time but the Guns, they had done TNA, but the WWE stage eluded them. Not because they lacked talent…but sometimes things just don’t align. Seeing them here, finally, was pretty astounding.”
He further added, “However, when I see them at SmackDown, it’s like, ‘Of course, they would be here.’ It felt like they always belonged here because they always should have been here.”
Sadly, the Motor City Machine Guns lost the WWE Tag Team Championships to DIY in the December 6th episode of SmackDown.
In other news, Ethan Page suffered defeat at the hands of Dante Chen at a WWE NXT live event last Saturday. Ethan subsequently left the venue in disbelief and pushed away the cameraperson trying to interview him.
