WWE superstar Kevin Owens went to social media on Sunday and shared how his family been personally impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Owens in an articulate and emotional video, revealed that his wife’s grandfather recently lost his life to the Coronavirus. Detailing how arduous the experience has been for his family, Owens emphasized that people should wear face masks and maintain social distancing to save lives. He also asked for empathy for those who adhere to stricter preventive measures, and not to mock them for it.

“It’s not over. It could make a huge difference.” said Owens. “If you are going to choose to not do those things, please have the decency, not to admonish, belittle, and talked to down to people who take those steps. I have seen a lot of that lately and it’s kind of sickening. At worst, wearing a mask and social distancing does nothing. At best, it helps save lives. While at worst, making fun of people wearing a mask and not wearing a mask yourself, telling people not to wear a mask, can help spread this disease and make things worse.”
