Kevin Owens, a familiar name in the WrestleMania circle, recently commented on a match of his. This particular fight outshone his previous performances at WWE’s top pay-per-view event.
Speaking on the “Unlikely” podcast, Owens shared his thoughts on his recent face-off with Sami Zayn at Elimination Chamber: Toronto. He said,
“That was really special. Me and Sami have shared the ring many times. We’ve been part of WrestleMania on several occasions. We’ve battled each other in the same match at WrestleMania, we’ve had individual matches at WrestleMania, it’s quite remarkable. We’ve experienced just about every type of match against each other in WWE. But to be able to do this at the SkyDome, I’d go as far as saying it was probably more monumental for us than WrestleMania.”
Owens emerged victorious in that event, post which Randy Orton made a comeback to settle scores with Owens. This set the stage for what was expected to be an epic clash between Owens and Orton at WWE WrestleMania 41 this month.
Regrettably, Owens revealed during the latest episode of WWE SmackDown that he needs a surgery for a neck injury which led to the cancellation of his much-anticipated match.
