During a recent recording of his podcast, “Grilling JR,” WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross blessed professional wrestlers Kevin Owens and Randy Orton with high praises.
The upcoming Saturday’s event will witness Orton and Owens forming a team with Cody Rhodes to take on The Bloodline in a six-man tag team showdown.
Here are a few significants remarks from the podcast:
When it comes to Kevin Owens, Ross expressed, “In my opinion, Kevin Owens is remarkably underappreciated. There are aspects of his persona that remind me of Stone Cold (Steve Austin), and these are crucial traits. He is resilient, a good guy, and doesn’t show off constantly. He’s smart and I have a soft spot for Kevin Owens.”
On the subject of Randy Orton, Ross pointed out, “Randy is a bedrock absolute certainty. His presence in the industry has been so long, it’s surprising when he is or isn’t doing something. He is the epitome of consistency. Years ago, I persuaded Vince to sign him despite his dishonourable discharge from the Marines. His career since then has been spectacular and it’s pleasing to see how much money he’s made from it. He’s dedicated his life to WWE. It’s a boon for WWE to have him because he still possesses the ability to deliver a stellar match when required. I’m a big fan of his work. Once a performer is established, the goal should be to expand on that, which WWE seems to be doing quite successfully with Randy. My prediction is that Randy will soon become a villain and work alongside Cody (Rhodes). They would create a powerful dynamic, in my opinion. I am eager to see that fiery, personal clash as the resulting matches would be extremely compelling.”
