Kevin Owens Discusses His ‘Prizefighter’ Gimmick

Prior to difficult Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at the 2023 Royal Rumble pay-per-view occasion, Kevin Owens talked with MySanAntonio to promote the Premium Live Event.

Owens discussed a range of subjects, amongst which was his ‘‘ Prizefighter’trick. He elaborated on why he revived the popular personality. He stated,

“To me, it simply type of seemed like we remained in the middle a modification and the fans knew it– the reversal and the modification in individuals in charge– and I seemed like my character was likewise due for a bit of a modification, coming out of the entire Elias-Ezekiel thing. I believed a good reset would be suitable, and I went from contemplating whether I do and alter something various, however then often what’s old is brand-new. When I got called (to) the primary lineup, I was still in the middle of the NXT run, and I seemed like we had hardly scratched the surface area of what we can do as that prizefighter character, so I figured, why not bring it back? And it’s been working up until now.”
