Owens has found fault with Rhodes recently due to Rhodes’s decision to join forces with Reigns despite their complicated past with the OTC.
In the last episode of SmackDown, Owens and Randy Orton fell to The Bloodline after Rhodes’ well-intended interference backfired.
Earlier this year in August, at WWE Bash In Berlin, Rhodes and Owens clashed where the Undisputed WWE Championship was retained by Rhodes.
For those curious, WWE deliberately opted to stage the Owens-Rhodes drama within the public eye, right outside Rhodes’ tour bus. This strategy was aimed at sparking an internet sensation, with WWE executives aware they could fool some fans into thinking it was a spontaneous event, leading them to share the videos across social media platforms where they could gain viral status. That was, ultimately, the desired outcome.
