Though Vince McMahon’s reign as the undisputed ruler of the wrestling industry may have diminished, Kevin Nash continues to regard McMahon as an ally. Over the decades, many wrestlers have adopted the term ‘father figure’ to illustrate their relationship with McMahon, a heritage that is now a focal point of the Netflix Mr. McMahon docuseries.

Recently, Kevin Nash spoke about his ex-employer and the numerous individuals who view McMahon as a paternal figure on one of the episodes of his podcast, “Kliq This”. Nash shared,

“Undertaker makes the reference that he was a father figure. [John] Cena makes a reference that he was a father figure. Anyone who had that deep of a relationship with him, at that highest level… I really only experienced that for a year. Once in a while, I’d go there, I’d want to see Vince, I’d just arrive at TV, and there’d be this f*ing throng of people… I’d get to bypass the queue, knock on the door.”

Further into the podcast, Nash once again brought up McMahon, emphasizing that he still counts the contentious former Chairman as a friend. Nash stated,

“He was my friend, he’s still my friend.”

In the midst of a lawsuit filed by Janel Grant alleging that she was sexually trafficked during her stint with WWE, and a federal investigation involving him, McMahon finds himself in troubled waters.
