Brock Lesnar’s notorious misjudgment during WrestleMania 19 where he botched a shooting star press is still remembered vividly today. On a recent episode of the podcast “Kliq This”, Kevin Nash, a WWE Hall of Famer, shed light on his immediate and gut-wrenching reaction to the chilling mishap.
This unfortunate incident transpired during a match with Kurt Angle at the 1995 pay-per-view event. Lesnar attempted an audacious aerial move, but his rotation fell short, leading to an alarming crash on his head.
Nash vividly recalled being present at the event, and his first reaction was a dreadful assumption that Lesnar’s mishap was fatal. Nash of record said: “I’ll never forget when we were in Seattle and Brock and Kurt Angle had that intense match. With Kurt positioned mid-ring, he was moved half further to the corner, and with Brock at the farthest turnbuckle, he made a judgment call and when he realized he was way too far, all he said was ‘Fk it.'”
In shocking recollection, Nash added, “I indeed thought Brock had ended his life right there. He didn’t even flinch or show signs of the impact.”
Surprisingly, despite the terrifying mishap, Lesnar still managed to secure a victory over Angle, thanks to an improvised end to the match.
