Kevin Nash Remembers Terry Funk, Alexander Wolfe Reveals Original Plans For Sanity Reunion

On a recent edition of his “Kliq This” podcast, Kevin Nash recalled his first meeting with the late Hall of Famer Terry Funk who passed away at the age of 79 this past week. He said,

“The first time I met him was with him and his wife at Venice Beach. I put it on Instagram today. I rarely post anything when one of the boys die, unless they were somebody that was special to me. I just remember the first time I met him, I just kept asking him about ‘Road House’ and about different movies he was in. And anybody else would be wanting to grab a guy like that, and get into his head, and get smartened up. I didn’t give a f**k, man. I just wanted to hear stories about on-set.”

On a recent episode of the “Developmentally Speaking” podcast, Alexander Wolfe revealed some details about the initial plans to reunite Sanity in WWE NXT.

Wolfe noted that following the initial breakup of the stable, things would have been arranged to maneuver talent between rosters leading to a reunion. However, the COVID-19 pandemic unfortunately prevented the materialization of those plans. He said,

“There was actually a plan to re-form Sanity… The plan later was they would separate me from Imperium, because I would be the weak link. And then in that time also, they would re-form Sanity with Killian Dain … and Eric Young, and they would win the NXT tag team gold. And in that case, they would go on to feud with Imperium, and I would join again Sanity. … We would have a feud against Imperium, and then we would go back to U.S. NXT.”
