On a recent episode of his podcast “Kliq This,” Kevin Nash, WWE Hall of Fame inductee, took a trip down memory lane. He recounted a memorable instance captured in a well-liked photograph of him, seated on Haku’s (also known as Meng) lap, during a 1997 WCW international tour.
Highlights from that episode of Nash’s podcast can be found described below:
Nash shared his memory of being seated on Haku’s lap, “That’s the sole instance I’ve ever seated myself on his lap. The scenario was, we were in Germany, and the bar was teeming with followers who knew which hotel we were scheduled to stay in. The venue had cordoned off a place for us, but there were too many of us wrestlers for the space. The last thing I wanted to do was remain standing. There was no way I’d do that.”
Nash further shared his aversion to standing for longer than 15 minutes. “My tolerance for standing is roughly 15 minutes. If the situation required standing for more than that, I’d be reluctant to do it. Haku offered his lap to me, saying, ‘Big man. Relax. You can sit here.’ I glanced over and thought, ‘Why not? You’re the only person I can sit on.’ It wasn’t as if my frame was heavy for him. He’s a sizable (guy). If a grizzly bear invited you, ‘Hey, come sit in my lap,’ the answer would be, ‘Sure.’”
