In the latest episode of his podcast “Kliq This”, WWE Hall of Fame inductee Kevin Nash reflected upon the notorious Montreal Screwjob that transpired at the WWF Survivor Series 1997.
Nash opined that the outcome of the Montreal Screwjob would have remained the same even if he was a part of WWE during that period. He hinted that both he and the late Scott Hall would have thrown their weight behind Shawn Michaels.
Expressing his viewpoint, Nash stated, “No. Our allegiance would have been with Shawn. [But] we still received criticism from Bret’s wife. She essentially said, ‘F* you. Even though you’re not there, we know you were.’ And she had every right to say that, because even though we weren’t physically present, we were there.”
Netflix has recently included the Montreal Screwjob in the newly launched docuseries, “Mr. McMahon,” which is currently accessible for viewership. Furthermore, this infamous event is also covered in the VICE TV docuseries, Dark Side of the Ring.
