MCW Pro Wrestling confirmed on social media that the former wrestling icon, Kevin Nash won’t be able to make it to any events as he can’t travel due to his back problems, particularly herniated discs. It was Nash himself who reached out to MCW, informing them that he won’t make it to the planned meet-and-greet activities scheduled for the next day.
Despite his health issues, Nash has revealed that he is presently in the hands of medical professionals receiving therapy. As Nash is unable to attend, the positions at the MCW events over the course of the weekend will be filled by Booker T and JBL.
In their formal announcement, MCW stated, “Kevin Nash communicated with us personally through a video message where he shed light on his struggle with herniated disks in his back. He is frequently undergoing therapy and is working closely with his doctors, but his health situation has sadly made it impossible for him to travel this weekend. Although we’re disappointed, we appreciate that @RealKevinNash made the effort to record this message for everyone.”
In related news, on a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Tommy Dreamer shared his top picks for matches that took place at the ECW Arena, now renamed 2300 Arena, in Philadelphia. Interestingly, WWE hosted an NXT episode at the same venue earlier this week.
Dreamer recalled, “Eddie Guerrero versus Dean Malenko. I got so captivated by the emotion and I was just in awe thinking ‘Wow, this is incredible!’ We collectively stormed the ring and hoisted the guys up. My absolute favorite has to be Terry Funk versus Shane Douglas versus Sabu; the match dubbed The Night the Line Was Crossed. The match extended for an hour and after an hour-long fight, the audience got up demanding ‘five more minutes’.
