During a recent WWE RAW announcement, John Cena declared a potentially career-ending move: winning the Undisputed WWE Championship and retiring, an action he claimed would “ruin wrestling”. Wrestling veteran, Tommy Dreamer, offered his thoughts on Cena’s statement in a recent discussion on the “Busted Open Radio” podcast. Dreamer considered Cena’s words to be more agency for a plot twist than a credible retirement plan.

Here are some interesting viewpoints from the said conversation:

Dreamer on Cena’s possible retirement if he wins the WrestleMania championship: “There are pre-existing dates set for John Cena’s appearances. If he claims the championship and retires, wouldn’t he miss those appointments? … Cena is with us till the year-end. … As we always say, ‘Everything must be in fine print.’ These are noteworthy considerations.”

Dreamer’s thoughts on the possible repercussions: “If Cena wins the championship and then skips all these events, it would virtually ruin wrestling. Legally, refunds would have to be issued. Personally, I don’t foresee that happening.”

On the other hand in his “Kliq This” podcast, Kevin Nash talked about the apparent strain WrestleMania is placing on Jey Uso and suggested that the latter needs to lighten up. To Nash, Uso seemed somewhat out of form, hinting at the pressure’s impact.

Noteworthy points from the conversation are noted below:

Nash commenting on Uso’s physical condition: “Jey appeared particularly worn out and somewhat heavier than usual. I believe the anticipation of the event is burdening him, and he needs to unwind and probably increase his cardio routine… Still, it’s uncertain how many such shows they’re managing.”

Nash on the potential issues related to Uso’s entry: “His ‘Yeet’ move is more like an aerobics workout. He must conserve energy and perform the move right at the center of the ring… He needs to tone it down and subsequently can ‘Yeet’ all he wants after his victory.”

The iconic rock band, Nickelback, recently acknowledged WWE Women’s US Champion Chelsea Green’s record-breaking reign of 111 days in one of her Instagram posts. Green then shared the applaud on Twitter in response to Nickelback’s recognition.
