After being named the No. 1 contender to the AEW World Championship last week, Christian Cage won’t have to wait long to get his title shot.

During tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite, it was confirmed that Kenny Omega would be defending his title against Cage at AEW’s All Out event, which is set to take place on September 5, 2021, at the Now Arena in Chicago. Cage has been shooting up the rankings and has had his eyes set on the title for some time, while Omega has been open about defending hi title against anyone.

The match was confirmed ahead of a big six-man tag team match, which saw Dante Martin, Matt Sydal, & Mike Sydal take on the Elite in a big brawling bout. Despite being the favorites, the Elite struggled for most of the match before coming out with a win after all three superstars hit a running knee on Dante Martin.

Following the end of the match, Christian Cage made his way down to the ring, interrupting Don Callis, who had also made his way down and into the ring. After going back and forth on the microphone, Cage revealed that he had spoken to Tony Khan and IMPACT Wrestling executive Scott D’Amore, and that he had also gotten himself a match for the IMPACT World Championship, which he’ll be battling Kenny Omega for at Friday’s episode of AEW Rampage, leaving Callis and Omega stunned and at a loss for words.
