Kenny Omega made a challenge to Joey Janela tonight and it’s now official for AEW Dynamite next week.

Omega said that fans online have complained that he beat a late replacement in Sonny Kiss rather than Janela during the world eliminator tournament that Omega won to earn a title shot. As such, he’s willing to face Janela and if the “Bad Boy” upsets the champ then he’ll get a title shot. Furthermore, it will be a hardcore match and he invited Kiss to be ringside as well.

Here’s the challenge made by Kenny Omega:

“A challenge was made today for an important match to take place live on AEW Dynamite next week,” Tony Khan said on Twitter. “It was captured by a paparazzo at the airport, & having seen the footage, absolutely I’ll sanction this match for Dynamite.”

Omega won the Eliminator Tournament to become #1 contender to the #AEW World Title. His scheduled quarterfinals opponent Joey Janela couldn’t participate due to safety protocols.
