Earlier today, we reported about Kota Ibushi’s upcoming ring return. This event is slated for later this month and will be held under the auspices of DDT Pro.
For this outing, Ibushi is joining forces with Danshoku Dieno and Akito. They will compete against Tetsuya Endo, Yuki Iino, and Yuya Koroku. Noteworthy is the fact that AEW granted the Japanese wrestling sensation permission to compete in the match.
In a recent update on Twitter, Ibushi dropped hints about a potential AEW comeback. Interestingly, he mentioned planning his return along with Kenny Omega.
His Twitter post read, “No, my home is AEW. We’ll see a full comeback with Kenny.“
It’s worth noting that Omega recently underwent a successful surgery for diverticulitis in May. The standard recovery timeline for such a procedure is usually four months. Fans will be pleased to hear that the former world champion is actively preparing for his return to AEW by hitting the gym.
