In a recent episode of the podcast “Busted Open Radio”, WWE superstar Kelani Jordan reflected on a multitude of topics, ranging from the rapid progression of the NXT brand to her personal achievement of being the first-ever NXT Women’s North American Champion.
Highlighted excerpts from Jordan’s interview on the podcast are provided below:
On NXT’s expansion and evolving landscape, Jordan observed, “NXT has seen an incredible amount of development. It’s fascinating to witness individuals who are just beginning their wrestling journey, pick up skills rapidly, and ultimately, performing on a platform that reaches out to around 10,000 people. From a personal standpoint, I debuted in NXT just a year ago. Observing the speed at which we progress at the Performance Center (PC) is somewhat surreal. It’s a testament to the stellar training we receive.”
On the subject of her accomplishment as the inaugural NXT Women’s North American champion, she expressed: “The feeling is ineffable. At times it still feels as though I’m living in a dream. In my past as a gymnast, I’ve clinched championships, but I’ve never been the trailblazer, the first. This achievement is something that will always be mine, untouchable. It allows me the autonomy to shape the significance of the first-ever title – and that speaks volumes.”
She also participated in a lively discussion about a confrontation between Trish Stratus and John Morrison. The full episode can be enjoyed in the player below. [embedded content]
