Keith Lee went AWOL from WWE television for months and it appears as if the star will share the story of his extended absence in the near future. The former NXT Champion took to Twitter on 7/26 to seemingly address his absence from programming, sharing with fans that he’s going to take “the story” into his own hands.
“I’ve decided. I am just going to tell you guys the story myself. Give me a week or two,” Lee shared on Twitter.

After posting, Lee received support from current and former colleagues regarding the matter. R-Truth told him it may be best to get it off his chest why Josiah Williams offered a hand in helping him.

Since Lee’s absence occurred during the thick of COVID-19, many were concerned that it may have something to do with his health, but Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported back in May that the leave could be something to do with the creative side of things. Lee made his return to WWE RAW last Monday as he was the man to answer Bobby Lashley’s open challenge, but ended up suffering a loss against the WWE Champion. It was over a week ago when it marked three years since Lee signed with WWE.
