Keith Lee Beats Adam Cole, Wins NXT Championship At Great American Bash

Keith Lee shocked the wrestling world on Wednesday, taking down Adam Cole at the second night of NXT’s Great American Bash to become the newest NXT Champion.
Lee thought he had ended things with a massive clothesline after the two had gone back-and-forth, and even after surviving a brutal suplex off the top rope, he still wouldn’t give up. Things ended for Cole when Lee was able to hit Cole with a Spirit Bomb, before picking up Cole again and hitting a Big Bang Catastrophe on him for the win. While Lee celebrated his championship in a shower of confetti, Karrion Kross and Scarlett could be seen at the top, staring down at Lee, with Kross no doubt plotting on how he could one day see himself reigning across NXT.
