New Japan’s Kazuchika Okada is confident that WWE & & AEW will put their distinctions aside for a World Cup of wrestling.
At NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 previously this month, Okada dismissed IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Jay White to win the title, ending up being the first-ever two-time holder of the gold.
Talking to Tokyo Sports, Okada pitched his concept for a crossover occasion and is prepared to talk to higher-ups in WWE and AEW.
“It would be fascinating to have a wrestling World Cup, it would be enjoyable to have a huge occasion on an international scale. We might have a tag group of Okada and Nakamura or Naito to combat for their nation. If needed I will go see Tony Khan and Triple H.”
Wrestle Kingdom 17 saw AEW’s Kenny Omega and FTR complete while WWE’s Karl Anderson lost the Never Openweight Championship to Tama Tonga.
