Karrion Kross Retains NXT Title At NXT TakeOver: In Your House
Everyone pays the toll.
At NXT TakeOver: In Your House, five of the black-and-gold brand’s very best stars clashed in a dynamic main event. Karrion Kross defended the NXT Championship in a Fatal 5-Way match against Johnny Gargano, Adam Cole, Pete Dunne and Kyle O’Reilly.
The five competitors went all out every step of the way with fast-paced, hard-hitting offense. Each participant got a chance to shine, from Dunne’s finger-breaking and O’Reilly’s stiff striking to Gargano’s technical wizardry and Cole’s renowned skill set.

The match was impossible to predict at any point because all five men constantly waged war. They even destroyed the throwback set, as Dunne and Gargano contenders sent him crashing through the door.

A few minutes later, in a brief reunion of the Undisputed Era, Cole and O’Reilly powerbombed Kross onto the broadcast table. Gargano also stole the show with a diving DDT through the ropes. Later, Gargano and Cole blasted Dunne with a double superkick.

Cole was on the verge of regaining the title with a Panama Sunrise on Gargano, but Dunne broke up the pin. Dunne then dared Kross to fight him, and the two warriors exchanged suplexes. Kross took control by drilling Cole in the back of the head, but Dunne snapped his fingers. O’Reilly hoped to seize his moment with a diving knee drop on Kross, but Cole dropped everyone with superkicks.
In the end, O’Reilly locked in a heel hook on Cole, but Kross choked out O’Reilly while he still had the hold in for the win.

William Regal Teases Change
NXT might endure a major change soon.
After the main event match on Sunday night, in a backstage interview, general manager commented on the lawlessness that has pervaded the black-and-gold brand in recent weeks.
He tearfully suggested that it’s time for change before he walked out on NXT. The show has regularly featured wild brawls, interference in matches, among other chaotic developments recently.
