Karrion Kross says he’s been intentionally quiet about his status, but he’s feeling much better about the progress he’s made since getting injured.
Kross posted the following on Instagram, thanking people for their concerns as well as teasing that his return might be sooner than expected.
I have deliberately neglected to answer any questions about my health from fans since July 22nd for a variety of reasons. I see them everyday though. And the check in’s have been sincerely appreciated.
However, Today I will answer your question.
I feel absurdly stronger now than I did even before July. I have not squandered this time away. I have always been addicted to challenges and avenues of improvement since I was a small kid. And I see no point in returning if I’m not coming back even stronger than I was to begin with.
See you all again when the T I M E is right.
Which as you know… could be any second.
Or maybe when you least expect it.

Kross defeated Keith Lee for the NXT Championship at NXT TakeOver XXX but ended up separating his shoulder during the bout. Kross later confirmed the injury, but told Marc Raimondi of ESPN didn’t believe he’ll be on the shelf for an extended amount of time.
“[Due to] how I feel and what I’ve heard, I don’t know. I’m very intuitive with my body. And the range of emotion that I have right now, while it’s not what I would like it to be, for me personally, it would indicate to me that I’m going to get be able to get through this without any sort of extreme measures, so to speak. In my opinion, today.”
