Kamille’s AEW Status Remains Uncertain Amid TV Hiatus

Kamille, the ex-NWA Women’s World Champion whose signing to AEW had AEW fans buzzing, had also caught the attention of WWE earlier in the year.

In July, upon her debut in AEW, Kamille functioned as the bodyguard for TBS Champion Mercedes Mone.

Kamille’s participation in AEW matches has so far been limited. Following an attack angle, she split with Mone last month and was subsequently written out of AEW shows.

During a conversation with “CovalentTV,” Kamille talked about her current AEW status:

“I am aspiring to eventually earn an AEW title. For now, I will continue doing what I am good at and hope to reveal my potential, which I feel the AEW fans have not seen yet, even when it comes to my speaking and showcasing personality. I am eager for AEW fans to get to know me better……It’s crucial for me to manifest that side to the fans. If people think, ‘She lacks personality’, I’d somewhat agree with them up until now, as I have not had ample chances to display it. I am thrilled for everyone to notice that there’s more to me than just standing there making faces.”

The subject of Kamille’s AEW status sparked discussion between Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez on the most recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio.

Alvarez queried, “So what’s the update with Kamille’s situation in AEW?”

Meltzer answered, “Indeed, that’s a pertinent question. Honestly, I have no clue. They initiated that storyline, but there was no follow-up at all.”

Alvarez chimed in, “I am wondering whether we’ll ever see her back.”

Meltzer noted, “Well, I wouldn’t rule it out.”

Alvarez pointed out, “After the incident, her name came up only once and never again.”

Meltzer concluded, “Yeah, they mentioned it once, but nothing has been spoken about it in the recent week or two.”
