The weekly NXT Injury Report (used to explain storyline and real injuries) claimed Catanzaro suffered a leg injury at the hands of Xia Li and isn’t medically cleared to compete. As it turns out, Catanzaro has a partial tear in her LCL. The former American Ninja Warrior competitor posted the following, confirming the injury:
It’s been a tough week.. coming to terms with a partial LCL tear, but working with medical staff to get back as soon as I can. You can’t keep me down.
Catanzaro did not go into further detail about how long she will be out of action, but a normal LCL tear could normally take up to eight weeks to fully recover, depending on the severity of the injury.
