Despite the anticipation of fans, wrestling legend Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger won’t be seen battling it out on Chris Jericho’s upcoming cruise, owing to the veteran Japanese wrestler’s own belief that he’s past his prime.

During a recent episode of the “Grue Rume Show,” Sonny Onoo, a reputable wrestling manager and Liger’s close confidant, mentioned that the former had been solicited for a match. However, Liger, also present on the show, promptly dismissed the suggestion, emphatically stating, “I am too old!”

The Chris Jericho Cruise is scheduled to embark on its journey from Miami to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, from January 31 to February 4, 2025.

Chris Jericho, the host of the event will, of course, be a part of the cruise, alongside other notable personalities from the wrestling field, including Scott Steiner, Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler, and not to forget, the legendary Liger himself.

Liger, however, has been absent from professional wrestling rings since his retirement match at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 14 in January 2020, when he, teaming up with Naoki Sano, was defeated by the duo of Hiromu Takahashi and Ryu Lee.
