Jim Ross has said that Vince McMahon is an old friend of his but isn’t entirely sure if the TKO Chairman feels the same way.

During his “Grilling JR” podcast, Ross was asked about whether he considers McMahon a friend and was quick to respond. He said,

“Absolutely — Vince did a lot of great things for me and he was very pro-family. You can’t not consider a guy a friend … he made me a lot of money. I don’t know if he considers me a friend, we don’t talk — but I certainly consider him a friend and someone I have great respect for.”

While Ross considers McMahon a friend, JR’s former employer was never shy of making fun of JR on TV with McMahon parodying Ross’ Bells Palsy during a 2012 show.
