Josh Barnett recently confirmed his upcoming duel with MVP at the much-anticipated Bloodsport XII, slated for November 24th.
Amid a tweetstorm, Barnett reflected on their longstanding camaraderie, leading to this challenge at Bloodsport XI. He wrote, “The long history of training and friendship was explained and also revealed as the source of the challenge laid down between MVP and the Warmaster at Bloodsport XI.”
Furthermore, the mutual respect and admiration built over time were not given freely but earned through appreciating each other’s strength. “Mutual respect and admiration was given, not freely, but earned through respecting the other’s strength,” emphasized Josh Barnett.
He went further to express the importance of this matchup fueled by the desire to test each other’s strength, revealing, “That desire to test one’s strength now decides that a match must happen. A match where limits will not be constrained and both wrestler’s will use all they have down to their very cores, because what is more valuable than he who shed his blood for his friend?”
