It’s an unconventional sport that has been gaining increased recognition and a growing fanbase over time, pulling in prominent figures from multiple wrestling promotions who have expressed interest in competing.
In an exclusive discussion with Tokyo Sports, Barnett unveiled the wrestling personalities he aspires to see in the upcoming Bloodsport matches. The list includes names like the Hall of Fame wrestler, Bill Goldberg, AEW athlete Katsuyori Shibata, and WWE’s very own Shayna Baszler.
In the words of Barnett, “First on my wishlist is Katsuyori Shibata, followed by Bill Goldberg. I’d love to watch Shayna Baszler competing in the Japanese competition, and I’m also keen on hosting New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Voltin Oleg.”
Notably, the WWE contract of Goldberg concluded in late 2022, and it wasn’t extended by the agency.
