Jose The Assistant On RUSH Re-Upping With AEW, Tony Schiavone On Talents Using Social Media

RUSH has re-signed with All Elite Wrestling, and Jose The Assistant took to Twitter to explain why the Mexican wrestler decided to stay with Tony Khan’s company amidst interest from WWE. Jose wrote,

“RUSH re-signed with #AEW because of how much concern Tony showed for Rush’s wife and newborn.

Family is important to Rush, seeing how much Tony cared is what solidified the deal.

There were other offers, but NEVER any consideration to go, AEW cares, Tony cares about his people”

AEW broadcaster Tony Schiavone believes there’s an issue with wrestlers who are motivated by the kind of opinion social media holds toward them.

On his “What Happened When” podcast, Schiavone stated that today’s generation of wrestlers spend way too much time trying to direct their comments toward social media. He said,

“No, not at all, no, I — and to this day, I think if you try to direct what you’re doing on an interview or too much online, I think you’re missing the point. So many wrestlers today are motivated by Twitter or by Instagram, and I think it’s wrong.”

“So, just my opinion and I could be wrong, but I guess that’s just, that’s the old man in me right?”
