This week on AEW Rampage, the Inner Circle faced a tough task when they took on Men of the Year and former UFC Heavyweight Champion Junior dos Santos.

In the end, the combined might of American Top Team overwhelmed Chris Jericho and his stablemates. A timely distraction from Paige VanZant allowed UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal, who was ringside for the bout, to nail the former world champion with a knee to the head. Scorpio Sky capitalized by pinning Jericho for the win.

Here’s how the match culminated, courtesy of our play-by-play coverage:

Hager tags in and squares off with JDS. The newcomer drives Hager into the corner, but the Inner Circle powerhouse slams JDS. A stiff knee strike stuns Hager, and Men of the Year gang up on Hager in the corner. Jericho tags in and regains the upper hand. “Le Champion” shoves Jorge Masvidal at ringside. Page capitalizes and takes control back for his team. The trio dominates Jericho for a few minutes.

JDS slams Jericho and gets a two count. Jericho rallies by kicking Page. Guevara and Sky tag in, and “The Sexy Spanish God” clears house. He drops Sky with a cutter, plants Page with a Spanish Fly and even strikes JDS. Jericho tags in and gets a two count with a Lionsault. JDS brawls with Hager at ringside, but Hager floors him with a thunderous slam through a table.

Thanks to a distraction from Paige VanZant, Masvidal blasts Jericho with a running knee, and Sky pins the former world champion for the win.

After the match, American Top Team Beat up Jericho, but Santana and Ortiz made the save, so it seems like this war isn’t over yet.
