Jordynne Grace Unveils the Moment She Discovered Her NXT Debut Date

The reigning TNA Knockouts Champion, Jordynne Grace, made a notable first appearance on WWE NXT TV this week. She has been tapped to square off with NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez in the upcoming Battleground 2024 pay-per-view event.

In a candid conversation with Pwinsider recently, Grace shared her thoughts on her NXT debut’s timing and her future ambitions with the WWE brand.

Here are some of the key highlights from the interview:

Regarding when she learned about her NXT appearance: “About three weeks ago, it was confirmed. Originally, the only scheduled date I had was for the Battleground event, but it seems they decided to reintroduce me to the NXT and WWE fans. So, they slotted me for these two other dates, which were this week and next week. It was only a few weeks ago that everything was finally settled. Of course, there were a lot of meetings and other stuff. So, the confirmation that it was actually happening came quite recently.”

On how this could benefit TNA: “The greatest advantage of this collaboration is, no doubt, the WWE’s reach and visibility. It has the potential not only to portray WWE in a positive light, due to its willingness to engage with other companies and host exciting, cool matches, but also to increase TNA’s visibility. This could boost ticket sales and general viewership. It also aids in enhancing the visibility of individual wrestlers who get these opportunities. In my opinion, this collaboration is ideal since I can’t see any downside.”

On her personal aspirations: “At the forefront for me is to increase the visibility of my work. I’ve been wrestling hard, for a long time and over many years. All I want now is recognition for my wrestling career. I wish people to understand the transformation I’ve undergone as a wrestler and acknowledge how hard I’ve worked to reach where I am today. Much like everybody else, I want to be known for my work and recognised as a wrestling artist.”
