Wrestler Kota Ibushi is set to make his return to DDT Pro-Wrestling at an event in Korakuen Hall, Tokyo on August 25. He will be partnering with Danshoku Dieno and Akito in a match against Tetsuya Endo, Yuki Iino, and Yuya Koroku.
In a tweet from DDT Pro-Wrestling’s English handle, the news was shared that Ibushi is returning to the DDT after seven years. The tweet also highlighted that Ibushi will be facing Endo in a trios match.
Meanwhile, at WWE NXT: The Great American Bash 2024 (Night Two), Wes Lee initiated a heel turn and assaulted The Rascalz after MSK’s defeat at the hands of Axiom and Nathan Frazer in the main event. TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace and Zachary Wentz reacted on Twitter to Lee’s surprise attack.
Grace wrote, “That’s it, we gotta send PCO to handle this.” Wentz, on the other hand, expressed his disappointment and shock saying, “I don’t even know what to say right now. Heartbroken doesn’t even begin to describe it. I still love you brother.”
In other news, TNA announcer Matthew Rehwoldt announced on Twitter that he has been diagnosed with shingles at the age of 36. He urges everyone the importance of maintaining a balance and seeking help when experiencing high levels of stress. He further stated that the rashes, though small, are causing severe pain and has impacted his day-to-day activities including gym workouts and sleep. However, he is hopeful that the situation will improve in the next week with the help of doctors.
