In the lead-up to the TNA Slammiversary 2024 pay-per-view event, Jordynne Grace fueled anticipations with teases of groundbreaking surprises. However, viewers tuning in were left without any big surprises due to unforeseen international travel disruptions.
Via her social media platform, Twitter, Grace conveyed that the travel predicaments led to the absence of various wrestlers at the event, including her spouse Jonathan Gresham. Grace’s tweet read,
“I haven’t expressed this before, but I feel compelled to apologize for missing the mark on delivering surprises – a global tech breakdown that led to the cancellation of several flights was something we couldn’t foresee. A number of wrestlers, including my husband, were unable to make it. I’m sorry for my attempt to overhype the show with that statement!”
Despite the circumstances, Grace managed to successfully retain her TNA Knockouts Championship against Ash by Elegance at Slammiversary 2024.
I’ve not shared this until now, but I’m sorry for the disappointment – could not anticipate a worldwide tech breakdown leading to flight cancellations. Some wrestlers including my husband, were unable to reach the venue.
I apologize for my previous statement that may have overhyped the show!
