Jonathan Coachman, in the last few months, has been candid about his yearning for a WWE comeback. His recent revelations include the roles he aspires to take up should he get the chance to return.

During an appearance on “The Angle Podcast,” Coachman, fondly known as The Coach, clarified that he would prefer to avoid coming back as part of a three-man commentary team. However, he did express some alternative options he has thought of.

Below are some highlights from the podcast:

Coachman on his preferred role in a comeback: “If you asked me, I have a clear vision of what I’d love to do upon my return. A triage with Corey Graves or Michael Cole at the commentary table doesn’t appeal to me. I’d be more inclined towards a duo. But if we go by what I excel at, there’s a sea of talents who, irrespective of their practice or effort, can’t master the microphone. To me, skills on the mic are as significant as actions inside the ring. If you can’t ace it, you can’t fully blossom into a main-event star. Where can I contribute the most? Serving as someone’s sidekick or manager, creating a group, and leading them. My journey during the past fifteen years has taught me that I’m an efficient leader with a knack for decision-making and implementation. If I were to return, this would be my dream job alongside a two-person commentary booth. I believe that would be exciting, particularly with some of the budding talents who aren’t quite adept at promo cuts. Learning from the best, notably The Rock, for two years has equipped me with nuances like pausing, modulating, and understanding that time management under the red light is crucial. This area is where I believe I can be the most beneficial.”

Coachman on the talents he’d love to collaborate with: “Not that he requires any support, since I firmly believe he doesn’t, but collaborating with Drew McIntyre would be interesting, considering his gigantic presence. I’d enjoy having someone articulate how talented and huge he is. There have been varied speculations, the authenticity of which I am unsure about, regarding the Hurt Business not being resurrected due to The Bloodline. Who can predict? Maybe there’s an undiscovered talent in NXT or developmental who’s being hindered due to their inadequate speaking skills. I would certainly adore assisting a newcomer like that.”
