In a recent episode of the “New York Post Sports” podcast, Jon Moxley threw light on the significance of the new TV deal AEW has procured with Warner Bros. Discovery. He talked about how this fresh collaboration is an ideal time for introspection and modifications within the company.
Moxley expressed, “It’s going to be whatever we make it. Whatever we stand up and take ownership of this opportunity. It can be whatever the f**k we want it to be. There are no rules. Any rules we have, ‘We have to have interviews on the set that look like this. We have to have this at this time. We have to put this up.’ Any rules we have are just things we put on ourselves. It’s pro wrestling and it’s always evolving. You have to stay evolving with it or you get left behind. You’re always learning and always growing. The attitude that we’re building around, the attitude that you’re feeling and the energy that you’re feeling in the locker room, backstage, and in the arenas, everything surrounding AEW is a different kind of attitude. Very exciting. There will be a lot of stuff that won’t be a part of this AEW…”
In another episode of the “Talk Is Jericho” podcast, a renowned wrestler, known as Big Bill, recounted his signing with TNA Wrestling in 2021 and revealed that he interacted with Triple H before making the decision.
Previously known as Big Cass, he first made his appearance in TNA under the name W. Morrissey before shifting to AEW as Big Bill.
During the conversation, Bill acknowledged, “I talked briefly to Finn when Impact offered me to go there. I was like, ‘WWE has done so much for me in terms of rehab and they’ve paid a lot of money. I don’t want to insult them.’ He said, ‘Just talk to Hunter. He’ll understand.’ Before I went to Impact, I texted Hunter and wanted to let them know, super appreciative. ‘I’m super appreciative. I’m not ready to come back to WWE. I want to go do this. Down the road, we’ll see.’ He was super cool about it. That’s exactly what he said, ‘Do what you have to do, down the road.’ That’s the only time I reached out to them at that point.”
