Jon Moxley Sets His Sights On The IWGP World Heavyweight Championship

Jon Moxley defeated El Desperado at NJPW STRONG Independence Day on July 5th in a ‘Final Death Match.’ Following the match, Mox spoke with Tokyo Sports, where he declared his intentions of challenging SANADA for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. He said,

“I’ve become both the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and the AEW World Champion, but I haven’t become the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion yet. I don’t think there’s anyone out there who’s wrapped up? If I’m going to fight SANADA, I have an image of myself as the IWGP World Champion, so it might be interesting.”

If Jon Moxley can capture the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, he will become the first person to win world titles in all three promotions. Moxley is a one-time WWE Champion and a three-time AEW World Champion.
