Archer beat up Moxley backstage prior to their AEW Championship bout in order to enter with an advantage and it was switched to a no disqualification match as a result. However, there is no quit in “Mox” and the champion was ready to fight despite being banged up. Moxley would introduce chairs to the match and threw one right into the head of Archer.

Moxley took full advantage of the no disqualification rules as he hit a low blow on Archer and then hit a Paradigm Shift off the apron onto two tables. Once back inside the ring, Moxley would hit another Paradigm Shift but it wasn’t enough to take out the challenger. Archer would hoist Moxley up and hit a Blackout, but Moxley would counter Archer with a crucifix pin and was able to get a three count for the win.
Archer is pulling out all the stops in your main event tonight!
