Current IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, Jon Moxley, has promised to eradicate the House of Torture from NJPW. This statement came in light of the episode at NJPW Resurgence 2024, where he suffered an unexpected attack from the troop.
Subsequent to his triumphant title defense against Shota Umino, Moxley fell prey to an ambush led by EVIL and other squad members, even desecrating the championship by coating it with spray paint.
Expressing his displeasure over the incident, Moxley declared his intention in a backstage interview to free NJPW from the clutches of the House of Torture.

His reaction to the squad’s assault and desecration of the championship: “In truth, I recognize your intent was to offend both me and New Japan Pro Wrestling…the fans and every former holder of the IWGP Championship across the Pacific. EVIL, I comprehend the disrespect you demonstrated by vandalizing this belt…you will pay a steep price, and you will certainly regret it. However…I must confess, the black does look rather appealing. You might have stumbled onto something. Regardless, prepare for a thrashing.”
“Let’s discuss your impending thrashing…you favour warfare in groups…think that will secure you the IWGP championship? We shall see. Bring any or all members, from any chapter of Bullet Club or House of…well, any gang you choose. I also have allies in Japan. Want a handpicked combatant? You’ve got it. You better seize your first firing opportunity, I promise you.”
About his schedule with NJPW this summer: “Summer’s going to be intense…all around Japan. Fukuoka, Tokyo, Osaka and back in Tokyo. Even going head to head with Josh Barnett at Sumo Hall on June 22nd. What’s happening? I’m unstoppable…I have no restrictions, no boundaries. I am Jon Moxley and I am limitless. Yes, there will come a day when I won’t be able to stand back up. Could be tomorrow, could be this summer….might get hit by a bus tonight. But, Evil, it won’t be you. During the Saturday night spectacle of NJPW Resurgence 2024, The Elite launched a brutal attack on Eddie Kingston.
Shortly after the incident, NJPW released a video clip showing Perry and The Young Bucks plotting their assault on Kingston.
