The main event for AEW WrestleDream 2024 is set in stone, with Jon Moxley emerging victorious over Darby Allin at AEW Grand Slam, thereby gaining a shot at the championship.
Prior to this, Darby Allin had secured a title opportunity at Grand Slam following his victory in the Royal Rampage match on July 26th during AEW Rampage. Yet, Allin was pressured by Moxley into staking his title shot at Grand Slam – a gamble which did not pay off for Allin, but turned out to be a strategic move for Moxley.
Facing his future competition, alongside acknowledging the attack by his fellow Blackpool Combat Club members at AEW All Out, Bryan Danielson, the reigning world champion, appeared at AEW Dynamite’s conclusion. He confirmed his upcoming match at WrestleDream, along with his intent to retaliate against Moxley.
As of now, this remains the only confirmed match for AEW WrestleDream. However, keep an eye on eWrestlingNews for more updates as the event’s schedule is predicted to expand shortly.

On a related note, an additional bout for the forthcoming episode of AEW Dynamite, marking the five-year anniversary of All Elite Wrestling’s prime show, has been announced.
The match was revealed through a lower-third graphic, pinning Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. against Serena Deeb. This complements an existing match on the card wherein Will Ospreay is set to defend the AEW International Championship against Ricochet.
