All Elite Wrestling World Champion Jon Moxley will co-star in the upcoming film, Cagefighter: Worlds Collide. The movie premieres next month, and Moxley recently spoke with Emily Pratt of Uproxx to promote it. In the interview, Moxley described how Jay Reso, also known as Christian, helped him get the role. “I got a call from Jay Reso, who wrestling fans know as Christian,” said Moxley via Pratt. “He was working as an executive producer on the movie. It was very shortly after I had left the previous place, WWE, and was a free agent, and he said they were looking for somebody who was a recognizable pro wrestler who’s available and I had just happened to become available.” Moxley then described how his friendship with Reso convinced him to take the part.

Moxley also discussed his character in the movie and how it compares to his persona as a wrestler. “It’s probably sort of similar except that in this movie I’m playing the antagonist, so to speak, the bad guy, so you want to be a little hate-able,” said Moxley via Pratt. “You want to be a little full of yourself, pompous, whatever it is. Kind of bring a little bit of that quality that Chris Jericho has perfected over the years… He just says something that just makes you want to punch him right in the nose. That’s what I had to bring to this role.”
