Johnny Gargano Takes Down Dominik Dijakovic With Help From Candice LeRae

Johnny Gargano promised to rebuild NXT in his and Candice LeRae’s image, and the pair started that off with a bang tonight, as Gargano took down Dominik Dijakovic in a match on NXT with the help of his wife.
Although Dijakovic looked like he had the upper hand throughout the match, it was LeRae who was instrumental in securing Gargano a win. After Dijakovic hit Gargano with a backbreaker, LeRae came running down to ringside, where she distracted Dijakovic. Once distracted, Gargano quickly pushed him off the top rope and then dove through the ropes onto him. From there, Gargano controlled the pace of the match, and won.

Dijakovic blocks Gargano’s superkick and sets up Feast Your Eyes. Gargano blocks it and hits a superkick. Dijakovic kicks out. Gargano pulls off one of the turnbuckle pads. The referee puts it back on. Dijakovic chokeslams Gargano. Dijakovic goes up top for a moonsault. Gargano cuts Dijakovic off. Gargano tries a sunset bomb but Dijakovic lands on his feet and superkicks Gargano. Dijakovic tries to powerbomb Gargano out of the corner. Gargano pulls the turnbuckle pad off. Gargano sends Dijakovic into the exposed ring post with a ranna. Gargano hits the slingshot DDT for the win.
