In earlier news relayed on eWn, famed wrestler John Cena is partnering with Neutrogena for an Ultra Sheer Mineral Sunscreen campaign. Cena shared a deeply personal story with PEOPLE, discussing how he was diagnosed and treated for skin cancer.
Cena bravely confessed:
“I was rather hardheaded. Avoiding a medical routine seemed convenient, believing that I wouldn’t fall victim to such a condition. However, my extensive exposure to the sun, with barely any protection, eventually took its toll on my skin. This realization came only after consulting a dermatologist and having to get a cancerous spot excised from my right pec. I was fortunate enough to have a wonderful dermatologist guiding me through the ordeal, ensuring that I never felt alone. The statistics are truly shocking, yet they seem detached until you encounter such a situation yourself. Sharing my personal account, I want to tell you: getting that phone call can be nerve-wracking because of its unpredictable nature. A year after the first diagnosis, I discovered another spot near my right shoulder which was quickly removed. You can easily spot these white marks on my chest and shoulder if you watch WWE.”
