In a recent episode of the “Talk is Jericho” podcast, TNA wrestling superstar Joe Hendry revealed his aspiration to challenge John Cena once he secures the TNA World Title at Slammiversary 2024.
Hendry articulated, “I have a world championship match at Slammiversary. I’m slated for the main event. This is surreal. Just four months ago, I couldn’t feature on a pay-per-view. Now, I’m aiming for the world title at Slammiversary. I want to make one thing perfectly clear. The moment I win the title, I’m going to hoist the title aloft, seize the microphone, and say, ‘John Cena, you’ve experienced almost everything this industry has to offer. Almost. But if you are ready to cross the line…’ That’s precisely what’s going to materialize.”
In other wrestling news, Combat Night MMA announced that Xia Zhao, who previously wrestled as Xia Li in WWE, is scheduled to make her debut in the company next month. She’s marked to face off with Xiomara Lee on August 3 in Kissimmee, FL.
Xiomara Lee, trained in Wushu, boasts an amateur record currently standing at 1-0.
Continuing on the wrestling front, MLW has revealed that HANAKO will make her in-ring debut at the MLW Summer of the Beasts event scheduled for August 29.
This event will mark HANAKO as the first-ever STARDOM wrestler to perform in an MLW ring.
