John Cena: Bray Wyatt Is Not The Future Of The WWE

John Cena made his second straight appearance on Friday Night SmackDown, this time coming out to slightly less fanfare than the first time thanks to the circumstances of the night. Still, Cena and Michael Cole discussed his upcoming WrestleMania 36 match with Bray Wyatt, where Cole asked Cena what he thought of Wyatt blaming Cena for the spiral that Wyatt endured.
While discussing the match, Cena said that it wasn’t very fair for Wyatt to blame him for all of his failures before making a bold statement, saying that Wyatt was not the future of the WWE. Cena name-dropped a ton of upcoming talent – Tommaso Ciampa, Rhea Ripley, and Drew McIntyre just to name a few – as the true future of the company. Of course, Wyatt made an appearance shortly after, mincing no words and telling Cena that their match at WrestleMania would be a “slaughter,” and that Cena just didn’t know it yet.
