Joey Mercury recently left Ring of Honor wrestling after serving as a producer for the company and is now revealing personal text messages that were sent between him and GM Greg Gilleland.

Firstly, Mercury was pushing for Marty Scurll to win the world championship at at the NJPW G1 Supercard event from Madison Square Garden back in April. The texts show that Gilleland and management believed that Matt Taven should win the match because he was the safer option. There was question as to the contract situation of Marty Scurll and if he would leave the company.

Next, Gilleland admitted that he made a pair of mistakes. The first was trying to get Matt Taven over and the second was bringing Enzo & Cass into the mix.

Lastly, Joey Mercury showed Gilleland a message that was originally sent from Flip Gordon to Joey. The text showed a screenshot of Ticketmaster’s website with nearly all of the tickets still for sale. Flip questioned why ROH was hosting shows in large arenas when ticket sales were so poor. Gilleland answered the texts back by saying that Flip Gordon was not a draw.
