Lio Rush’s future is more unclear than ever. After the former NXT Cruiserweight Champion lost to Joey Janela at Game Changer Wrestling Homecoming Night Two, Rush’s next move is a mystery. Rush appeared at GCW Homecoming Night One, where he attacked Janela to set up their match the next night. After the match, Janela made his thoughts about Rush’s rumored retirement. “I know damn well you’re not retiring from —-ing wrestling,” said Janela. The Bad Boy walked away and left Rush on his own. The fans then chanted for Rush and showered him with support.

“Thank you guys, so —-ing much,” said Rush. “I love you too.” Rush then left the ring.

Rush and Janela have been rivals for a long time, dating back to their feud in Combat Zone Wrestling. Both men have achieved success with major promotions; Janela is featured on AEW Dynamite and AEW Dark, and Rush had a memorable WWE run in which he won the NXT Cruiserweight Championship.
